Closed 31 Aug 2021

Opened 26 May 2021

Overview

NHS North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for planning and buying high quality services for local people in the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. We are committed to involving and engaging users of services and residents in the work we do, ensuring this reflects the diversity of the communities that we serve.

We are working in partnership with our community and mental health service providers, primary care (GPs), local authorities, voluntary and community sector, service users, carers and residents, to review community and mental health services.

Community health services provide support across a range of needs and age groups but are most often used by children, older people, those living with frailty or chronic or long term conditions and people who are near the end of their life. Examples of community health services include; district nursing, falls services, podiatry (for foot problems), diabetes specialist service, pain management and blood testing.

Mental health services offer care and support to children, young people and adults depending on the level of mental health need, from talking therapies for common mental health conditions, like anxiety and depression, through to severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

We want to develop a ‘core service offer’ for users of both community health services and mental health services. This will set out clearly what you can expect to receive from these services as a minimum regardless of where you live.

We would like to hear your views

To help inform these reviews and to shape the core service offer, it is important that we hear from local people who are using the existing services. As such, we are inviting residents of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington to share their thoughts about the services they use.

You are welcome to complete this survey if you use local community health services, mental health services or both. You may also care for someone who uses these services – your opinion is also important to make sure we have a broad range of views and feedback.

The survey is anonymous and strictly confidential. Your personal information will not be shared and the responses you give will not affect the care you receive. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect about you. We will only use your information for the purpose we have described, and we will not pass on your details to any third party or government department unless you give us permission to do so. We use leading technologies to safeguard your data, and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

What happens next

The information provided through this survey and our engagement with service users, carers and residents will help inform the strategic review of community services and mental health services. They will be considered as part of the recommendations for community and mental health services in north central London going forward.

The survey is anonymous and strictly confidential. Your personal information will not be shared and the responses you give will not affect the care you receive.
