Environmental Sustainability in General Practice Survey

Closed 2 Aug 2021

Opened 29 Jun 2021

The NHS contributes to about 4% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the UK, with most of these in primary care coming from prescribing. The climate and ecology emergency impacts human health and the NHS has committed to a net-zero carbon target of 2040.

We’d like to know what action is being taken to address the climate and ecological emergency by General Practice.

More importantly, we would like to know what you find challenging about this agenda and what we could do to help.

The survey should only take 5 minutes to complete.

The survey is anonymous and strictly confidential. Your personal information will not be shared and the responses you give will not affect the care you receive. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect about you. We will only use your information for the purpose we have described, and we will not pass on your details to any third party or government department unless you give us permission to do so. We use leading technologies to safeguard your data, and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

The results will be used to develop plans to support the development of an NCL Green Plan and to support general practice in taking action to address the climate and ecological emergency.
