Planned Care Local Enhanced Service 2017/18

Closed 17 Apr 2017

Opened 17 Mar 2017

Overview

On 1 April 2017, implementation of a Universal Offer for Camden general practices will begin. The Planned Care Local Enhanced Service ( PC LES) - which aims to increase capacity in primary care, decrease variation in quality of care and improve clinical outcomes for people with long terms conditions, frailty and SMI - will form around two thirds of the Universal Offer.

Over the last six months, the CCG has received significant feedback from member practices and the LMC on the deliverability of the PC LES, particularly relating to payment and monitoring arrangements.

In response to this, our Governing Body has agreed significant changes to the specification for 2017/18 which will improve deliverability for practices, while maintaining clinical requirements.

Feedback is now invited from practices in a consultation on three key areas in the updated 17/18 service specification:

  1. Performance payments and outcomes
  2. The SMI component
  3. The frailty component

The full 2017/18 specification and appendices are available on the GP website.
